Hi, I am Ryan. Nice to meet you! This one-page website offers some info about me and what I am working on at the moment.

So...if you are here, you probably know that I build original resources for the IELTS, most of which I publish to my YouTube channel. My main project at the moment is IELTS Speaking Blog (ieltsspeakingblog.com), which is an ongoing library of shadowing exercises for the speaking section of the IELTS. To build this library, I use only real IELTS Speaking questions that have been reported to me by real IELTS candidates. (By the way, email me if you have taken the IELTS recently and would like to tell me what questions you saw!) All model responses at my website are band 9, and I know this because they are scripted by a small team of active IELTS examiners that I work closely with. I do the voice production, editing and publishing myself. Here is a link to one of the sample shadowing exercises if you would like to try it!

Here is what my desk looks like while building the IELTS Speaking shadowing exercises!

My goal is to make these IELTS Speaking resources as actionable as possible. I have worked with IELTS candidates for over 15 years, and I know what an insane and confusing struggle it can be to improve your skills, especially if you are trying to prepare for the exam on your own. I thus focus on making exercises that do not waste your time. When you press play on one of my resources, you start training immediately. There is no patronising, long-winded explanation of how the IELTS is structured. I presume you already know this.

To keep this library of IELTS Speaking exercises relevant and effective, I regularly carry out classroom testing, analysing, editing and retesting, and I am always interested in hearing your feedback. Are the exercises expanding your vocabulary? Are they improving your confidence? Do you now pronounce words more accurately? Is there something I can do to improve the exercises further? Whatever it is, I want to hear from you!

I try to make myself available across as many channels as possible, but it is probably easiest to just email me: ryan@ieltsspeakingblog.com

Below are some other ways to get in contact with me. I will put them in order of how active I am on that platform.
